The EA’s North Muskham level monitoring station is immediately above Cromwell lock and provides an indication of the water levels on the non-tidal River Trent and thus volumes of “Fresh” over Cromwell Weir. Trentlink “Colour Coding” of heights above and below the normal level at North Muskham are ” advisory” indications intended for low power vessels and inexperienced skippers.
